These bright apple-green pyromorphite crystals have excellent luster and form with the largest crystal atop the piece measuring 1.5 cm. Dozens of crystals adorn this colorful miniature front to back and there is a bit of strategically placed red-brown goethite on the piece for a nice contrast. Some of the larger crystals of pyromorphite show distinct hoppered growth which is one of the hallmarks of many Daoping pyromorphites, and this habit is highly coveted. China has been one of the most productive countries for new material over the last few decades, with Daoping being one of the more significant localities whose pyromorphites rival any locality worldwide. This style would date to early finds, early 2000s. It is a simply STUNNING miniature.
